More jobs are cut by employers in the U.S. this month which is a 1 pecent increase over May unemployment numbers, the highest since August 1983. This is not great news for a lot of people.So what does this mean for the many college graduates who can't find a job?The president credits the billions in stimulus funds are helping the economy, but if you ask the millions who cant find a job, are not feeling the effects of these supposed improvementsThe Labor Department June report deplicts employers have slashed 467,000 jobs and earnings were flat. In May the economy lost 322,000 jobs.

Factory payrolls fell by 136,000 after a decrease of 156,000 last month.

Retail payrolls decreased by 21,000. Finance Institutions reducedpayrolls by 27,000.

Another Labor department report shows the number of Americansfiling first time claims for unemployment benefits last week fell in line with forecasts. Initial jobless claims dropped by 16,000 to 614,000 in the week ended June 27.

The average work week fell to 33 hours from 33.1 hours in May. Workers' average hourly wages held at $18.53 for a second month.

This event is not encouraging news for people who can not already find jobs. Becuase of this many people are looking for other ways to earn extra income and for some that is online.

There are many ways to earn money besides keeping a fruitless job. Many of these unemployed workers are now making a lot more money than they ever did as their fulltime jobs.There are many ways to earn some extra income or even replace your income. I know its changed my life. President Obama claimed the stimulus package has perfomed as expected. At the same time the unemployment rate hit this 26 year high and many analysts still expect that number to grow. Obama stated the stimulus has saved thousands of teaching, police and firefighter jobs. I guess the people I worked for did not get that message as I was laid off from my position as an educator in higher learning a few weeks ago. California is facing bankruptcy and the state is now offering I.O.U.s to vendors of the state. If you are tried of depending on someone else for your lively hood then do something about it. You can control your own destiny if you take a few actions to live your life as you desire.
